What is Jallikattu?

Jallikattu (Shorter Version)

We have a solid proof that the Bull Sport was followed since Ancient times around minimum 2500 years ago !!!!!
It is a sport mainly used for Breeding in India. Several countries have their reasons. One country says that their Bull Fighting improves human being's fertility. (You might be thinking on How does it improve OUR fertility. Not going to cover this here.)

Jallikattu = Breeding Science

In India, long ago, every state were following this sport with different rules and games.
Once upon a time it was a National pride game.
Now, Tamil Nadu is the only state that has it.
Tamil Nadu celebrates in the name of "Yaeru Thaluvudhal"(In Tamil) / Jallikattu (One friend said it is Sanskrit) / Bull Embracing (In English).

What happened to other States?
Corporate companies / International Organizations / Innocent politicians have destroyed it.

What is the cause?
Watch this video for better understanding, especially the conversations. (Please watch it with subtitles because the video is in Tamil language.)

Why do we need Jallikattu?
For healthy future, for you and your future generations. Please research about A1 vs A2 milk.

What happens if we don't conduct Jallikattu?
We will get many diseases like Diabetes, Infertility, Cancer etc.,
There are no products without Milk. If we start consuming (already people started consuming) then we will end up our life with diseases.
"Health is Wealth". If we are not healthy then _____.

Use of Jallikattu

What about Peta Analysis?
In Jallikattu, we have strong rules for the sport. Someone in some area has broken the rule. Peta got that video and filed a case then Jallikattu is banned. Instead of banning, they should have requested for strict rules. They did not do that, why? Because their motive is different.
There is a report saying that Peta kills pets/animals that comes for shelter.

I shall give you few examples:
- In Cricket, few players have died because of those balls. Not only that, few viewers have died because of heart attack (if India is in critical situation). Could we ban that sport?
- Why don't they interfere and ban the slaughter house?
- Why don't they ban Kites festival? (It kills lots of birds)

Media Coverage:
Most of our National media does not know what is Jallikattu completely. Some media is misrepresenting that Jallikattu is a Hindu festival
I want to clarify one thing. It is NOT a Hindu festival. It is a Tamil Nadu STATE festival/game/sport. That is why all religion people in Tamil Nadu is supporting this protest.

Please support Jallikattu for better future.

How to update Subaru Navigation maps [micro-SD card]

I recently bought 2016 Subaru Forester with Navigation. Car is very good in everything.
One of the service consultant told me that there is a map update available and asked me to update through online.
I was searching for the link on their www.subaru.com website but I could not find any.

Today I went to my service center to update Telematics software (I received a Recall email from Subaru).
I asked Service Adviser about the Subaru Navigation Map Update and this is what he told me;
Go to www.subaru.com
You will find navigation .
Update it over there.

But I could not find that option on their website. Then I got the Subaru customer care number 1-800-782-2783 and I called them. They explained me very clearly.

- Go to www.subaru.com
- Click on "Customer Support" at Top right
- Look for the question "Where do I find more detailed information about my vehicle's navigation system?". Mostly it will be a third question.
  Answer of that question is;
For questions regarding your navigation system, please refer to your Owner’s Manual within the Resource Center
Depending on the Subaru navigation system you have, you can select the corresponding link to update your maps below.
Kenwood Navigation DVD Disks: Subaru models prior to 2013, excluding 2012 Impreza, WRX, STI and Forester Update your maps here
Subaru NAVI System: 2012 Subaru Impreza, Forester, WRX and STI, and all 2013 - 2016 models Update your maps here.

My First day in Riverbed

Riverbed !

I feel great about it when I say / think Riverbed !!

After thorough evaluations, Riverbed offered me a SharePoint Developer position at Bethesda, MD location. My joining date: 19-Oct-2015.

One week before my joining date, I received an email from HR on induction details. The time mentioned was 9am - 11am PT. Yes, headquarters is in San Francisco. HR also mentioned that whoever attending outside San Francisco, they will have to use the webex option and the time at Bethesda would be 12pm - 2pm ET.

I was confused and thinking when do I need to reach Bethesda office, at regular office hour or 11am ET?! I stick to the regular office hour, 9am ET. I decided to go by metro. I live in West Falls Church. It would take 1hr 30 mins to Bethesda by metro and takes only 20 mins by car  !

Metro: West Falls Church -> {DC Area (Catch another train)} -> Bethesda
Car: 495 route

On 18th night, I kept alarm on 2 devices, iPhone and iPad because I should not get bad impressions on first day by going late. ;)
The day has come 19-Oct-2015 (Monday). iPhone alarm was ringing at 6am and iPad alarm failed !!!!! Good that I got up on iPhone alarm. I got ready and had one banana, milk, an apple and an egg as a breakfast. Time was 7.30am. It's time to catch bus. I started running towards bus stop, took a bus to West Falls Church metro station. Once I got down at metro station, I saw huge crowd due to usual metro delays. Tensed & Worried !

Took Orange line metro, oh god!, running on very slow speed. Got down at Metro Center and took Red line. Somehow I reached Bethesda metro station at 8.50am and surprised to see a loooooooooooooong elevator (like Rosslyn), ~2 min 15 seconds. Finally I reached office at 9am sharp. :)

One associate saw me sitting idle at reception and approached me with questions. I told him that I'm a new employee here. He provided me a temporary ID card and walked me through few important places, my cubicle and IT support team. On the spot they handed over me the lenovo's high end laptop, ~$2500. Logged onto my machine and was checking few important things. IT member was helping me on few things because the entire network has been upgraded last weekend.

My manager, Sara, came to office and met me, also I met two other co-workers. Sara walked me through main areas at office, Conference rooms, server room, IT support room and cafeteria. Cafeteria is very good, filled with many items ! I loved it.

HR induction started at 12pm where 9am in San Francisco. At break time (Lunch), I grabbed banana and nuts from cafeteria. HR was informing me about Q4 meeting arranged next day and asked me to attend. Induction ended at 2pm with vital information.

Then I started configuring my Yammer, Outlook and Office 365 profiles, created SharePoint group in Yammer. Meanwhile, Co-worker approached me and we were having few mins chat. I asked him about good restaurants for lunch. Immediately, he took me out and showed me the restaurants. He is very nice because he was in middle of something and he put it on hold and took me out. And the restaurants, oh man!, so many restaurants nearby within 10-20 footsteps. :)

Came back to office and my manager Sara asked me to get comfortable with the place and outside view. :) She asked me to send few lines of "About Me" for welcoming me in Yammer. I sent her and IT person installed brand new advanced telephone for me. End of day has come! I left the office at 5.45pm and reached home at 7pm.

So far so good !
Nice environment, Great people, Exciting opportunities !

Thank you Riverbed for introducing me to new culture ! ! ! ! !
